The problem with perfectionism is that it doesn’t really exist, so it’s a never-ending struggle that results in frustration, self-reprimand, stress and procrastination. It can make those around us just as miserable as we’re making ourselves. Imperfection is the norm, so it’s how we live with that fact that influences our moment-to-moment well-being and that’s why we practice mindfulness.
